Austin Air HealthMate Plus Replacement Filter

This Austin Air Replacement Filter Pack includes all 4 component filters that originally arrived with the HealthMate Plus Air Purifier (HM450 series).  Replacement time frames can vary depending on whether the HealthMate Plus is filtering heavy chemicals, gases and particles, but typically, the replacement time period is approximately every five years. The carbon and zeolite blend along with potassium iodide can also clean benzene, wood smoke, formaldehyde and other harmful VOC’s from the air. The pre-filters can be purchased separately if you prefer to replace these filters more often. When purchasing the Replacement Filter Pack or the pre-filters, select White replacements if your Austin Air purifier is White or Sandstone or Black replacements if your purifier is Black. The exterior layer of pre-filter can be seen through the air purifier’s grille and therefore, choose the replacement filter according to the color of your purifier. Although this Filter Replacement Pack is designed for the HealthMate Plus, it will fit any Standard size Austin Air Purifier (such as the HealthMate Standard or the Allergy Machine).  Junior Filter Packs sold separately.  

The Austin Air HealthMate Plus features 4 stages of filtration, and each of these stages are included in the Filter Replacement: 

Stage 1: Large Particle Pre-filter removes particles such as dust, hair and pet dander

Stage 2: Medium Particle Pre-filter removes small to medium size particles such as molds, spores and pollen

Stage 3: About 15 lbs of Activated Carbon and Zeolite with Potassium Iodide removes chemicals, gases, VOC’s and odors 

Stage 4: 60 sq. ft. of True Medical Grade HEPA filtration removes 99.97% of all particles larger than 0.3 microns.
